Embroidery - 2021
A collection of the pieces that I embroidered in 2021. Due to a move to another state and life doing what it does I didn't stitch as many pieces in this particular year as I normally do. Still, these were the start of me getting back to my normal. I sell these art pieces under my craft business name Ink by Moonlight. All patterns were created using original sketches. "She sits quietly and spins her web. In this corner of the garden beauty and death are one and the same to the unwary." The White Garden Spider - This was created as a gift for a friend.- Standard cotton DMC floss on cotton fabric in a metal pendant bezel hung on an 18" sterling silver ball chain. Approximately 2".
The Guardian of Time - Stitched on black cotton fabric using DMC standard cotton flosses in a metal pendant bezel. Approximately 2" in height.
Moonlight and Broomsticks - Stitched on black cotton fabric using DMC standard cotton flosses in a metal pendant bezel. Approximately 2" in height.
"In the forest the first hints of change were starting to show themselves. The flickering of something just out of sight. Mushroom rings peeking through the grasses and leaves. A brief but crisp breeze. It was almost time." - Autumn - Stitched on linen using metallic DMC embroidery thread as well as standard DMC cotton floss. Framed in a 6" hoop.
